This condition is caused by the bacteria in plaque inflaming your gums. Most times this condition can be treated with a dental cleaning and instruction on how to properly clean your teeth.
This is a common problem among the population and can mostly be solved by using desensitizing toothpaste which has compounds that block sensation travelling from the tooth surface to the nerve. We may recommend us applying a fluoride gel or special desensitizing agents if desensitizing toothpaste doesn’t work. If none of the above work a filing, crown or inlay, gum graft, or root canal may be necessary.
This procedure is required when the inside of a tooth – the pulp has damage. The supporting tissue of the tooth remains intact so it can still function as a normal tooth.
Crowns and Bridges
These devices cover existing teeth protecting the remaining tooth structure after damage has occurred. Damage may be the result of a filled tooth having more filling that tooth; an existing tooth structure weakening to the point where it can’t support a filing; extensive decay occurring; or a root canal making the teeth brittle and apt to fracture.
Complete and Partial Dentures
These devices replace lost teeth and help improve your appearance and health. With dentures your appearance will be more youthful because your face is supported and you can eat and speak with confidence again.
